I'm only about a month late with these. ;o) As I've warned before, they're not great-- too much sunshiny contrast, for one thing-- but I've tried to fix them up a little. They'll do to mark progress through the year. (A few of the better photos are borrowed from other blog posts from earlier in April.)
At the main crossroads. (g)
Looking east down the straight path.
Same path, slightly different angle, so you can see the new dwarf gardenias...
The semi-shade garden, with its tons of weeds and grass...
Same general area, from another vantage point...
Back on the gravel path, facing the other direction...
Back at the crossroads, looking westward...
Further down the same path...
Whoops. How did that happen? I guess these got shuffled a little, but good enough... (g) For some unknown reason, we've retraced our steps (on another day) and are back in the arbor/crossroads area.
Ok, back on track!
Still looking west...
Here are some new-this-month plantings. Between the viburnum and the 'Sunny' KO rose:
And on the lawn, looking in the direction of those new plants and some new (and at this point still hidden) canna lilies...
Looking down the length of the newly expanded bed along the back of the house... A lot of work needed, here.
And for our final photo, a garden overview from the back lawn...
